Getting ready for my wedding!! 5 for Friday!

Why yes, I am linking up with doodle bugs for a 5 for Friday - let me tell you.. typing with acrylic nails is no easy task! How do people do this? (Yep-just got my nails done!)

So, as many of you know I am getting married this weekend and I am so excited! I just spent all day long with my mamma (I tried to get her to take a selfie with me for this post but she said NO) lol- she doesn't like pictures.

My week started off at grandma's house - do you get that I adore my grandma yet?--I think I always talk about her on here! ;) She has helped me so much with my wedding and we put final touches on mason jars and snack bags earlier this week!

How amazing does this stuff look?
Instead of appetizers- we decided to do snack bags and they will double as favors for our guests and a snack before dinner!! Money saver and OMG this stuff is good!! Melted brown sugar is drizzled over all of this-white chocolate chips, pretzels, chex-mix, cranberries and popcorn! MMMM good!

We made these cute little tags with string that we braided, card-stock that we cut and a thank you stamp!

The Mr. and I also picked up our marriage licence this week! We actually met a couple in the elevator too who went to a little white chapel right after they got their license to get hitched!! lol...guess they didn't want to wait!

This week I've worked super long and hard on the programs you see below. Andrew saw a picture online of these fan programs and after looking to BUY some I decided that I could whip these things up...no problem! It took about 3 days and saved us near $300.00... but, they got done and I LOVE THEM! -I've also got to give credit where it's due-my future sister-in-law helped... a lot! :)

This week I also snuck in some classroom shopping..shhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I swear... school is ALWAYS on my mind!

So, I got the drawers from BIG LOTS for...hold your breath... $22.00!! Oh YAH!!
Then the bins...hold it again... 3 for $1.50!! BOOM! lol (I'm hyper right now) ;)

Then, below you see all sorts of goodies and it's mostly all from Target's $1.00 section! :) LOVE IT!!!

Last, but not least... I became apart of a collaborative blog this week called Collaboration Connection!
I am so excited to be apart of this amazing group of bloggers! Through this blogging journey I've always wanted to connect with people and get to know other bloggers. I feel like this is what it's all about! I'm shy by nature so branching out and socializing isn't the easiest thing for me but, I am getting better! I'm just plain excited to get to know these girls and make new friends!

Update from Ms. Williams--Yep, I'm here!

Can I say sorry for just a short little second? I have literally been MIA for the past month on this blog of mine. I have reasons!! --I'm here to give you some updates!

First and foremost--this girl GOT A JOB!!!
(Yes, I have one now--but, we are moving and I needed a new one)

Yes-- you see it here -- I GET TO STAY IN FIRST GRADE!!!!
I feel like I sound like a student who is flunking bahaha--'stay'!

2. WEDDING PLANNING---- Yes, it's almost done! We just have a few details to complete like center pieces and we are good to go!
We are going to try to re-create this!
mini chalkboard table numbers on mason jar vases
3. I have SLLLLAAAACKEDDDDD on taking pictures in my classroom! We've just been plain old busy---and well honestly--they've been quite ornery and making this teacher just tired!! HA (Still going to miss them though) :'(

Here are some totally random pictures from the classroom that have no connection to one another!

We've been working on our asking and telling sentences. :)
Thank you Amy Lemons!!

I read each sentence out loud and students held up the correct punctuation mark. Then, we taped them on our anchor chart.

We did sorting and writing activities and completed our sentence fun with these cute pocket books from Amy!

We also took a trip to the Toledo Zoo this past week!
Students completed and presented animal reports to the class before we went!

Yes, only one picture! :'(

 Our grass finally grew! :)

Then, of course....stations!! :)

We worked with Synonyms on the GO!

And.... lot's of guided reading has been taking place in my room!! Not a whole lot to show here!! :) We have been using whiteboards to quickly jot down our thoughts though! I love it!

Alright!...I am not off---The fiancé is bugging me to get off of the computer and go work out... I guess that's a good choice!! :) Be back soon with something more to share that makes a lot more sense!! HA

A LONG list of ramblings for ya!!

So.. Are you ready for some randomness because here it comes!
This is basically a scrapbook page... get readyyyy!!!
I feel like such a pointless blogger this summer because nothing in my life is really that organized so here are my ramblings...
Thanks to Fabulous In First Grade for the fun linky!

We will begin with last week on... Wednesday I believe. The boy took three days off work to spend some time and his 28th birthday with me! We did all kinds of relaxing with our puppies!

During our relaxing time I was of course taking full advantage of all of the fab. deals on Tpt! I bought so much stuff... it is literally unbelievable how much I bought... I just couldn't resist all of the great stuff! I can't share it all now... but I will at a later date!
I was printing, laminating and cutting non-stop! Here, I have Dee Dee Will's writing bundle for writing workshop! I took the plunge and bought it for the whole year! I love the idea of vocab cards for the kids to refer to while their writing.

I even set up the board for August and September! I haven't copied the papers for the kids yet due to the fact that we don't yet have paper... not to mention I can't make a copy without the copier jamming! Ugh.. teacher problems!! :)

Of course I can't just do one thing when I am in the classroom so I worked on other boards, and TRYING to organize my stations!

Are there any suggestion on how to do this with very minimal space? I am thinking cardboard book bins and labeling them? How do you do it?

Here is my attempt at organizing...

I don't believe this will work...
and it looks SO messy! ha!

I also took another plunge and bought the Guided Math kit from Lesson Plan SOS! I love this and can't wait to begin teaching math in a new way!!

I made some yummy birthday cake this week for Andrew's birthday! Funfetti!!

We also went to a fourth of July cookout and I had to bring a side dish...
I can't cook... So, I kind of freaked out. I search on pinterest for an easy recipe and I found this Apricot Gorgonzola Cheese Dip! I only messed up once!! Yay...! ha

Here we are heading off to the cookout!

Last but not least... we are packing up and moving to a super duper small town! His job was to work and my job was to take pictures! :) Just kidding!! I helped... a little!

Here is some of our packing we have done so far... We still have three weeks until moving day but we are both super busy until then!

Well, that's a wrap everyone! Thank you for viewing my online scrapbook! This is what happens when I don't link up for the Five for Friday! Bahh!! :)
